WEEK TWO


Supplies are due today. I'll check for those and we will continue to work on the Motif project. The project should take us through the rest of the week.

Projects that are not finished IN CLASS by Friday 9-3-10 will need to be worked on outside of class time and turned in NO LATER THAN class time on Monday 9-13-10.

Day Two...

Today we discussed Art Vocabulary. Look on the Class Website for the key Elements and Principles of Art terms as well as the Color Terms. YOU are responsible for the terms.

I collected signed permission slips. Get those to me this week.

Work on getting your supplies. Let me know if you have questions. Thursday we will start a project that requires of you: a ruler and markers. I will provide the paper and stencils for this project.

You MUST have your supplies by Monday September 30th.

Welcome to the 2010-2011 School Year!


Day one of class we will discuss rules and procedures and get started learning about art. This year will be filled with individual and group projects as well as museum visits and the opportunity to enter art contests.

I look forward to working with you this year!

One Upcoming Art Contest is the biennial Young Art Exhibition at the San Diego Museum of Art. Check out the website (http://www.sdmart.org/education/young-art) to get a glimpse of what the exhibition entails...more information is to come in September.
