My Morning Duty

November 1-9 I have morning duty on Nutmeg Street so will not be in my room...come see me there if you need me ... will be there from 7:20-7:40.

End of October


I attended a conference Thursday and Friday so a sub was in class. Thursday you completed the Gaugin Scholastic Magazine as well as the COLOR INTENSITY exercise with Oil Pastels. Friday you completed the balance activity.

Both days you were allowed to work on your two outstanding projects when you finished.

Tuesday (Block Day) when we meet again and the rest of the week we will work on the Leaves and consumer product wrappers. Make sure you have your rubrics printed out.

Consumer Product Wrappers and Leaves will be due No Later Than
Wednesday (Brought to my classroom before Mass) 10-10-10. That way I'll have them back to you for block day Thursday, 11-11-10.



Monday 11-15-10 We'll start a Holiday project
December 1st we'll start the Final Exam

From Art History to Art Making
Saturday October 16th 1-4 PM ($10.00 after Museum Admission)
Dr. James Grebl will discuss the exhibition Toulouse-Lautrec's Paris. Learn about both the artist and Baldwin M. Baldwin, who donated most of the works in the exhibition to the museum. After the talk, a museum educator will lead a PRINTMAKING WORKSHOP based on the ideas of Lautrec's own work.

Teens are invited to the museum to celebrate the special exhibition of Dreams and Diversions: 250 Years of Japanese Woodblock Prints. Meet and mingle with other teens. Cafe activities include several printmaking projects inspired by the art on view. Students will view exhibition related performance and/or a presentation about the development of the exhibition. Today the shading worksheets were due.

Shoe: We will work on this week in class. Friday will be the last day we work on the shoes in class. Bring your shoe each day...without it yo7u cannot participate in class.

Next week we'll start a project that deals with color...we'll use OIL PASTELS AND COLORED PENCILS.
